There must just be a handful of cities around the globe that can stage spectacular fireworks on New Years Eve. Sydney is definitely on the top of the list with the harbour bridge and the opera house as the backdrop – it is definitely a sight to see.
This year we invited Manang Helen to the fireworks. She drove to Sydney on her new car with Lou and TJ. We left home for the fireworks just after 3pm, taking the train to Kings Cross to our spot that was generously provided by Jeanne’s work to their employees and friends.
We could not have a picked a better spot – we can see the bridge, the opera house and the Sydney Tower from where we are. There was generous facilities, food stalls and New Year light novelties. Our only problem was that – none on our group thought of packing alcohol 🙁
Celine, Jessica, Jeremy, Dexter, Delwyn, TJ and Lou passed the time playing Dominion – a novelty game I have no idea of but they must have enjoyed it as it occupied them to minutes before the main fireworks at midnight.
Jessica was able to secure a spot right in front of the wharf with no obstruction between her and the firework display at the bridge. She took over a hundred photo with her iPhone 4s – here are all of them converted on a video form.
Awesome! A must see for me in the future , or in dreams will be okay. Definitely a dream to pursue, watching the fireworks in your u tube mskes me feel, i was watching it too!!!
Another use for the iPhone 4S 😉
For a demanding audience (like me).. Is there an HD version?
🙂
Might be best to view it directly from YouTube using the 720p version.
